Plus, since every traveler has their own preferences and will want to do different things, from visiting monuments and hiking to simply resting in the sun and enjoying some quality time, I believe some help with accommodation would be most welcomed, especially if you want to please your loved one.

Well, I’ve got you covered: here are my favorite areas to stay as a couple in Zakynthos. 

THE Best Place to Stay in Zante for Couples: Argassi

Peacefulness, romance, and privacy are probably your main criteria if you are traveling as a couple to Zante. If I guessed right, you should go to Argassi, a small village on the northern coast of the island.

The best thing about this resort is that while it is pretty calm (which a lot of people will like, but it might not be for everyone, I will give you that), it is very close to Zante Town, the bustling city with plenty of activities and areas to visit.

Staying in Argassi means you will be in a romantic resort with something for everyone: there are plenty of bars, shops, and restaurants, as well as a great beach to relax on, all in a peaceful location.

Argassi is a peaceful village, but it doesn’t mean it’s not filled with tons of hotels and other facilities. To save you a headache, and because I want you and your special someone to focus on the stay, I have handpicked the 3 best hotels in Argassi:

Where to Stay in Zante for Young Couples: Zakynthos Town

In my opinion, young couples are mostly looking for a place with plenty of activities, at least more than those of my other choices. They will want to try plenty of bars and restaurants, visit as many monuments as possible and maybe even try water sports and various activities. For these reasons, I am convinced that Zakynthos Town, the capital of the island, is a very good recommendation for you.

Did you know that this city used to be ruled by the Venetians for multiple centuries? In fact, you can still feel the influence of this era, from the magnificent historic castle and the harbor to the overall atmosphere of the town. If you like history, you are in for a treat, and can visit the Byzantine Museum, which has art from the 15th to 17th centuries; however, even if you’re not particularly interested in history, you should for sure visit the famous Venetian Castle, which overlooks the city.

Moreover, there are lots of activities you can try in Zante Town, from scuba diving in the turquoise waters of the pristine coastline to resting in the warm sand of Greece.

Zante Town is THE place to be for young couples, so here are my 3 personal top picks:

If what you want is luxurious and comfy accommodation in Zante Town, then Bitzaro Boutique Hotel is your go-to. This amazing 4-star hotel has a magical atmosphere and is very stylishly decorated. Whatever your needs, your stay will be successful if you pick this place!

💰 Budget Pick: Petros Giatras – Rooms

Finding budget-friendly accommodation in such a busy area as Zante Town is almost impossible. Most of the time, you will have to get rid of something, from your own comfort, the quality of service, or the location. But not in Petros Giatras – Rooms! There, you will have all you need in an excellent location, for a good price.

Where to Stay in Zakynthos for Older Couples: Alykes/Alykanas

The 2 small towns of Alykes and Alykanas are located on the eastern coast of the island of Zante, about 2 km / 1.2 mi from each other and 16 km / 10 mi north of Zante Town. They are often considered one same location, although they are officially 2 different areas.

There are tons of great activities for you and your loved one in Alykes and Alykanas. First of all, of course, the warm sand beaches will most definitely be your main point of interest; but there’s more! I’m adamant you will love the historic part of the village, being located in the center of 2 old Venetian watchtowers. Also, wine tasting is pretty popular in the area and the main street is filled with shops, restaurants, and other facilities.

All in all, Alykes and Alykanas are the best place for an older couple in Zante looking for a peaceful resort in Zante. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing, and there isn’t that much nightlife or other kinds of disturbance.

Where to Stay in Alykes/Alykanas

Because of how stunning this area is, you most definitely won’t be surprised to learn that finding a great hotel there is an absolute pain. To help you, here are my 3 favorite hotels, adapted to your budget:
