The Photography Challenge : Nature
Challenge Category: Theme
The second of the 52 challenges is to take a photo that relates to the theme of nature.
Challenge Explanation
This challenge is pretty self-explanatory. Your goal for this challenge is to take a photo that illustrates the theme “nature”.
Your photo doesn’t have to be a photo of a landscape, a big forest, mountain or lake. It can be only a small element of your image that evokes Nature. As long as the viewer thinks of Nature when he/she looks at your photo, you’ve completed the challenge.
Now that you know everything you need for the challenge, let’s CRUSH it!

My 3 Favorites Entries from the Community
I am choosing the 3 images based on 2 criteria:
- How well the image is matching the challenge
- The overall quality of the image
Feedback on the Selected Images
As we did in Challenge #1, it’s important to study photos. Let’s keep up this habit and do the same for the 3 photos I enjoyed most for this week challenge.
Image 1 – by @rsphoto_ig
I love the warm colors in the image, and the orange glow on the horizon. I can really feel the warmth of the sun on my face, and this totally feels like sunrise!
Image 2 – by @themuhdazhar
What I love about this image is the feeling of adventure. I can relate with the man in the picture; woke up early, headed out in the dark, climbed to the top of the mountain to watch the sun rise. And what an absolutely beautiful sunrise!
Image 3 – by @stephan.hellin
This entry is similar to mine in many ways: start of the day, over the Eiffel Tower and Paris rooftops. However it’s even better than my entry for the theme “Sunrise”, as you can clearly see the sun rising, and slowly setting fire to the sky. Brilliant!
Thanks to everyone that participated in this Week Challenge. It’s amazing to do this together, and become better photographers together!
I’ll talk to you next week for the Photography Challenge of Week #4 ; share your images by tagging them with #kevmrcphotochallenge and @kev_mrc !
Until then, take care.
