Before even looking at which hotel will be perfect for you, we need to determine where on the island it would be best for you to stay. 

The question to ask yourself is the following: do you want to party, go shopping and enjoy a lot of different restaurants during your honeymoon, or would you rather stay away from the crowds and chill on the beach, away from the crowds?

Parties go on all night long, and you won’t have any trouble finding dozens of bars and restaurants here. There also are countless shops in town. But in Mykonos Town, you’ll also be able to walk around the beautiful neighborhood of Little Venice. As its name suggests, this is an amazing romantic experience and a perfect destination for a honeymoon.

👉 Psarou Beach: If your main interest in Mykonos is the sun and the sea, Psarou beach is a great place to stay around. It’s located on the southwest of the island, and is quieter than Mykonos Town. The beach is beautiful, and the water here has a beautiful crystal color. It doesn’t feel like a lost place however, and you’ll still easily find things to do around the beach other than chilling in the sun.

👉 Kapari Beach: Finally, if total quietness is what you need, you should consider Kapari Beach. It’s located on the far west side of the island, and offers a beautiful view on the sea and the neighboring island of Delos. It’s the most quiet place of the 3, and if you only need to relax, this is the best place for you to stay around.

To select the best hotels in Mykonos for couples, I’ve looked at criterias that I think are the most important.

1.Privacy. This is your honeymoon. A privileged vacation for you and your beloved one only. The purpose of this holiday is to enjoy the most of each other, and spend as much quality time together. This means you want to have some privacy. While sometimes you go on vacation to meet new people, during your honeymoon, you’ll probably want to be left alone most of the time, to enjoy this lovely person you’ll spend the rest of your life with. This is why I’ve only selected hotels where you can easily find privacy.

2.Comfort. You’ll probably spend quite a lot of time in your room, and in the hotel in general. So I’ve only selected those that offer extra comfortable rooms and beds. You don’t want that not so comfortable bed to be the thing you’ll remember the most of your honeymoon. All these hotels are great, and you’ll probably say to yourself “this is amazing” when you arrive for the first time. And you might as well sink into the comfortable bed your room will have.

3.Private Pool or Beach. Having access to a private swimming pool or beach is the best, especially during your honeymoon. This way, you’ll never have to fight over a spot, or have to wake up extra early to be sure to find one. You can sleep as long as you want, and when you get to the beach, there will always be some space for you. Some hotels also offer smaller, very private swimming pools or jacuzzis, just for your room. You’ll love them. In Mykonos Town, you won’t find hotels with private beaches, but I’ve selected some that offer a private swimming pool.

It’s very peculiar since it’s one of the only islands in the archipelago of volcanic origin. This makes for beautiful beaches, very different from the ones you’ll find in Mykonos. However, if you want to enjoy your honeymoon by staying on the beach and partying (as well as enjoying some private time, of course), then Mykonos is the island you want to be on. The beaches are more friendly for these kinds of activities, and you’ll find something to do any time of day.
